Difference between Solid Shampoo bar and 'Shampoo' Soap bar

What is the difference between solid shampoo bars and soap in terms of ingredients, technology and hair care?

Soaps are primarily made of high-quality fats, reacted with lye, plus essential oils or fragrance oils. They are naturally cheaper to make so can, therefore, be cheaper to buy.

Despite often having the label ‘pH balanced’ there's simply no way a bar of soap can get to the pH lower than 8. This doesn't change whether the recipe has coconut oil or any expensive oil, so the same concerns about true soap damaging the hair still apply.

Since hair varies between pH 4 and 5 and doesn’t have an acid mantle like skin, this pH difference leaves the cuticle sticking up, resulting in rough, dull hair, which over time can cause damage.

Plus, the soap—which is saponified oils and an alkali—reacts with water when you use it, and this forms soap scum.
To avoid this, you need to rinse your hair with specially acidified vinegar water to neutralise the alkaline reaction, otherwise, your hair will be dull and hard.

SOLID SHAMPOO BAR IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PRODUCT!

Mild, low pH shampoo bars won't aggravate the scalp or dry your hair. Special formula results in a unique bar, unlike commercial or cold-processed shampoo bars.

Gentle Solid Shampoo bars leave hair clean without feeling dry the way many detergent-based shampoos can. For some people, conditioner isn’t even needed after their hair adjusts in a couple washings with a bar.

If you have tried 'shampoo' soap and remained dissatisfied - try the real solid shampoo bar, and you will understand the difference!

All our hair care products are sulfate free, phthalate free, paraben free, preservative free and sustainable. Don’t forget to pick up the matching conditioner bar as well! Treat your hair to the natural difference!
